Since a team is made up of individuals, it is the thoughts, attitudes and actions of the individual members that determine the team's effectiveness. This program allows you to catch yourself "being who you are" and see how your beliefs and actions both support and hinder the team's effectiveness.

  • Intrinsic Motivation - What's in it for me? Many people don't clearly see the great advantages that effective teamwork brings. In this section you identify and recognize the overwhelming advantages you gain from being part of a high-functioning team.

  • Team MindSet™ - The foundation of great teamwork is an understanding of yourself and others. This is a simple and highly effective personality profiling method that gives you insights into yourself as well as your colleagues. It highlights the differences and similarities between people and lets you see how using everyone's strengths leads to exponential results. You will also be able to apply it whenever you want to quickly gain a basic understanding of anyone you meet.

  • Team Building Exercise - This exercise shows you how results are best achieved when you apply the strengths of everyone in your team. It is highly interactive, fun, challenging and gives you the personal "aha" experiences that make for deep learning insights.

  • The power of a Higher Vision - For a team members to pull in the same direction, they need a compelling vision and goal that keeps them focused. You will learn the power of a Higher Vision and process for creating one.

  • The Stages of Team Development - Teams normally go through a predictable series of steps to reach optimal performance. Discover which stage your team is at and how you can most quickly move forward.

  • Commitment to Action - Information and Inspiration are nothing without ACTION. You will decide on your next steps and commit to taking them. Our unique process and the internal support structure we give you will ensure that you actually do what needs to be done instead of losing your momentum in the day-to-day demands of your work.

LEAD FACILITATOR, TRENT SCHUMANN, B.SC.

Trent Schumann Trent has been working in the consulting, team and leadership development field since 1988. Experience with hundreds of clients over the years has given him a unique insight into what makes teams work and what makes them fail.

Trent started his career with Shell after receiving his bachelor’s degree in computer science. After gaining experience in the support of business and marketing applications at Shell, he moved to a company that specialized in corporate software change management consulting.

He quickly became VP of business development and was responsible for developing new clients, mentoring overseas representatives and providing direct consulting to key clients. Some of Trent’s consulting clients during this time included:

  • As a result of this work, Trent noticed many factors that both enhanced and impeded the ability of corporate work teams to get things done. Using this knowledge, he struck out on his own in 1992 to provide leading corporations with experiential team learning programs to help them make quantum leaps in team commitment, satisfaction, productivity and leadership.

    Since that time, Trent has had the privilege to work with teams from many of the world’s leading organizations as well as smaller, entrepreneurial companies on the leading edge of their fields. He brings the insights and techniques gained over the years into each program he facilitates.
